I am looking to apply to PA schools this summer and would love some opinions on whether or not I am a competitive applicant for PA school (or what kind of shot I have).
My credentials include:
150 hours volunteering in a hospital
100+ hours shadowing a PA or physician
Graduated with degree in human biology, GPA 3.94
1000+ hours working in a child development center (child care)
480 hours conducting clinical research at UNMC
Looking to find a new job this summer so that I can obtain a bunch of hours working directly with patients and be able to add that to my application.
Thoughts? I am just wondering how important paid patient experience hours are.
Thanks in advance!
