If you haven’t, it’s high time you do.  IPAT’s Physician Assistant Forum is the only commercial-free, user-generated forum dedicated solely to Pre-PAs and PA school applicants.  It may cover more in the future, but for now, we’re keeping it focused, because we want it to fill the void of good information on the process of becoming a PA.

IPAT’s Physician Assistant Forum is the place to ask and answer questions about the application process, PA work, and to connect with others who are on the path to medicine too.  We already have some great material up, but we can’t do it without your help.

So please register — for free, of course — and put yourself out there.  Because the best way to learn is to get involved.  Just click the “Forum” button at the top of the page, and we’ll see you there.

Thanks for your encouragement!

See you at the IPAT Physician Assistant Forum!

what type of compensation should a PA get for being on call?

There are different ways that this is calculated, and I’m not an expert on it — I’ve never had to take call. Usually it’s some percentage of your base pay, with more if you have to actually go in to see a patient. In some practices it’s a requirement for your salary, so you basically don’t get anything extra. And like in my case, in some jobs there is no call at all. 🙂
